    This James Hogg verse was in my Valentine’s day card this morning. The Ettrick Shepherd and his work were a big thing for us as the relationship started out, so I went a little bit melty when I read this passage this morning. The poem’s called ‘Oh love’s a bitter thing to bide’ should you want to see the rest. Enjoy.
